Masser: Greenhouse Monitoring Platform
A real-time monitoring platform for greenhouses and crops such as bananas: stations report temperature, humidity, CO₂ and more, and growers get alerts, live checks and trends they can act on.

6
measures per reading: temperature, humidity, pressure, O₂, CO₂, battery
7
alert rules: temperature, humidity, CO₂, battery and offline stations
Per station
limits you set yourself, with alerts that acknowledge and close on their own
Live
every reading streamed to the console as it arrives
The challenge
Growers find out about heat stress, humidity that favours fungal disease or a dead sensor after the damage is done. They need every greenhouse in one place, checked continuously, with warnings that fire on their own.
What I built
Stations report over a message queue (RabbitMQ) to a Node.js back end that stores readings in MongoDB and checks limits per greenhouse. A React interface shows each greenhouse with trends and plain-language advice, a station table with signal and battery, alert rules, a live console and a station map. The same data supports routine check-ups: how stable conditions are, when ventilation or irrigation should react, and which stations need attention. A simulator feeds demo data.
The outcome
A working platform demonstrated on simulated readings from several greenhouses and stations.
